NEW MANAGEMENT STRUCTUREAdvanced Info Service (AIS) is undergoing a transformation and management overhaul to deal with the more dynamic and complex business environment. AIS has also reinstated two positions, chief corporate officer and chief strategy officer, to the current executive suite consisting of chief financial officer, chief human resources officer, chief technology officer and chief marketing officer. In his view, it is the perfect time for AIS to enter the fixed-line broadband market as mobile data has taken off. There are 6.5 million fixed broadband subscribers in Thailand out of 21 million households. AIS has 200,000 fibre-optic broadband subscribers, or 2% of market share, up from 45,000 at the end of last year.
